Frequently Asked Questions about Charms & Dapper Gown & Dress Rentals

Alteration

Q: Does Charms & Dapper allow alterations to the wedding dresses?
A: Yes, Charms & Dapper allows minor alterations to the dresses. We can accommodate most requests as long as they are within reasonable limits. Free alteration is provided by our in-house tailor. Any alteration to be made by any third party must obtain prior written approval .
Under no circumstances will Charms & Dapper give permission to cut any material or make permanent alterations that cannot be undone. 

 

Gown Trial

Q: Can I try on dresses before renting?
A: Yes, Charms & Dapper offers try-on appointments in our store. To book an appointment, please contact us directly and we will be happy to assist you.

Q: Do you charge anything for the gown trial appointments?
A: No, Charms & Dapper offers try-on appointments totally Free of Charge in our store. To book an appointment, please contact us directly and we will be happy to assist you.

Payment & Collection of gown

 

Q: What are the payment terms?
A: The full payment of rental fee must be paid to Charms & Dapper  before the dress can be reserve for you on the desired day/days (normal terms for 5 working days / special terms as negotiated ) The security deposit must be paid to us before or upon collection of the garment by you or authorised person. 

Q: What are the payment methods?

A: We accept Cash/ Bank Transfer/ Credit Cards (Visa/Master/AMEX) /TNG/Duitnow for payment, Maybank Card Users has an option to pay by EZP 6/12month instalment for transaction over RM500.

 

Q: What are the security deposits?
A: Security deposits is refundable to you within 3 working days upon your return of the dress within the governed working days & items in complete & good condition. 

 

Security deposit charges are stated as follows: 

Garment Rental Rate RM500 & below - Security Deposit RM300 per pcs

Garment Rental Rate RM500 & above - Security Deposit RM500 per pcs

Cancellation & Exchange Policy


Q: What is Charms & Dapper's cancellation policy?
A: All rental orders canceled 14 days or less from the event date are subject to forfeiture of all payments and/or deposits.


Q: What is Charms & Dapper's exchange policy?
There is a RM50.00 fee incurred for exchange or change order for changing the garment or event date (only for available stocks) and/or accessories 14 days or less of the event date. Changing the measurements or sizes will not incur a change order fee. If for any reason, upon fitting/try on, you have a change of mind for the items that you ordered, you will be given an option to choose from our in-stock collection.

Q: What if I change to a dress that is cheaper/more expensive than my original rental?
If you choose a style with a lesser rental value, no credit will be given; If you choose a style with a greater rental value, you must pay the difference of the rental cost.

Q: What if I do not find anything I like and I want a refund?
Once you have paid for a dress rental, upon second fitting/try on, you can opt for exchange or change of order,  if you decided do not like any other garment in Charms & Dapper as your second choice, all the payments you have made will be forfeited, no refunds will be given. 

Q: I forgot to collect the dress and I do not need it anymore?
Any rentals that are not picked up at the end of the business day on the reserved event date will be considered a No Show, No Call. No refunds will be issued.
